There’s more than one reason to appreciate the location of the Cau Holiday Homes.

First and foremost, there’s the fact that from each of the apartments, you can be at the beach in no time at all, on foot: the homes in Via Gaudì (Casa Lina, Casa Ilaria, Casa Marta) are just 700 metres from the beautiful Maria Pia beach (which features its own pine forest), whereas Casa Viale Europa is a mere 150 metres away!

And, if you want to go that bit further in search of other fantastic beaches along the northern coast, you can reach them easily either by car, bicycle (riding along a cycle route immersed in lush greenery) or scooter, or on the Beach Bus – a shuttle service available from June to September.

But while the sea may be nearby, the din of the town is far off.
The apartments – bordered by gardens and surrounded by countryside – are located on tranquil roads set back from the main thoroughfares. As such, your are sure to have all the peace and quiet you could possibly want, at all times, even during the wee small hours, when Alghero’s famed nightlife would otherwise make a good night’s sleep next to impossible!

The privacy and relaxation on offer are accompanied by a wealth of facilities.

Within a 900-metre range, you will find everything you need to allow you to make the most of your holiday: supermarkets, banks, bars, pizzerias and restaurants, a hospital, a pharmacy, sporting facilities (swimming pools, tennis courts, rugby pitches, baseball pitches, walking routes), a small play park for children, and a railway station.

And, on Wednesdays, you can visit the vibrant, multi-coloured, open-air market held in Viale Sardegna – it’s the place for locals and tourists to engage in some serious retail therapy.

In addition, just 4 km away, there is the conference centre, which is the perfect venue for major events, concerts and shows featuring both national and international performers.

 You can reach the stunning old town of Alghero in a number of different ways: on foot (in around 20-25 minutes, by taking a stroll along the promenade called the Lungomare Barcellona); by bike (there is a cycle route, running along the promenade all the way to the Magellano bastions, to the south); or by public transport (there is a bus stop just a yards from the holiday home).
